Why choose Pop Warner

Why is Pop Warner the right program for my football player or cheerleader?
#1 SAFETY FIRST
ALL of our coaches are LEVEL 2 background checked- this is a NATIONAL level background check. Once the coaches pass their background check they must then complete mandatory Pop Warner coaches training as well and Heads Up training. Our cheer coaches must complete the YCADA training and attend the annual Pop Warner coaches training.
Our equipment. Every piece of football equipment in our inventory is 2 years old or less. Our football helmets must be reconditioned EVERY TWO YEARS and totally replaced after 10 years. The NOCSAE stamp is applied and checked by league officials.
#2 SCHOLASTICS
Pop Warner believes in recognizing individuals for their accomplishments in the classroom. Football and cheer are team sports, but scholastics is where the individual can really shine. Pop Warner hosts Regional and National Scholar banquets that participants are invited to based on their scholastic achievements. At our local level we take great pride in our student athlete’s achievements and recognize those with a 96.5 GPA over the entire school year starting in the third grade.
#3 NATIONAL ORGANIZATION
Pop Warner is the oldest and largest youth football cheer and dance organization in the world. There are more than 350,000 participants annually with teams around the GLOBE! With this comes a national rule book by which all Pop Warner organizations must follow as well as the rules established by their region and local boards. There are many people in place at every level to make sure rules are followed. Pop Warner has a panel of doctors as well as sports specialists that they work closely with to constantly improve the safety of the game.
#4 COST
Our organization has some of the lowest registration fees in all of Pop Warner. We are able to do this thanks in part to our wonderful community sponsors every year and through fund raising efforts. We believe In giving you the most for your money also.
Our football registration is $155.00. With that your child will receive THREE custom jerseys to keep. One for home games, one for away games and one for practice. One custom warm up outfit that consist of shorts and a compression shirt. One personalized equipment bag. Custom game socks and a pair of game pants. The game pants are returned at the end of the season. If you are a returning player that purchased a bag last year you can choose a personalized hoodie instead.
Our cheer registration is $185.00. Each cheerleader will receive a full uniform to keep. (Shell, skirt, briefs,liner) Pom Poms a bow a T-shirt and a bag. The cheer package has not been finalized, but as soon as it is we will be sharing all of the details with you. Our cheerleaders have the opportunity to go beyond just sideline cheer and be on our competitive teams where the magic really happens. There is no additional cost to be on the competition
team, just extra practice commitment. The cheerleaders will participate in a local or semi local competition and then move on to regionals in Orlando the weekend after Thanksgiving. From there they have the chance to advance to Nationals at Walt Disney World the second week of December. We were blessed to be able to have our Per Wee cheer team advance this past season. Through fundraising efforts and generous sponsors we covered the cost for the entire team and coaches for the hotel stay and a day at Magic Kingdom. It was a phenomenal experience and one those girls won’t soon forget.
#5 EXPERIENCE
The overall experience provided to our athletes is unparalleled. Do we travel? Yes. We play games in Tallahassee, Panama City, Marina and this year we will add Pensacola and Navarre to our area. To get better at anything you have to broaden your horizons. Our schedule last year closely followed the high school schedule and the competition we faced was some of the best we have ever seen. When it comes to regionals and nationals, you have to see it to believe it. Pop Warner pulls out all the stops for these kids. The facilities these kids get the opportunity to cheer in and play football in are the best there is. The atmosphere is electric.
